And then there was five........

When I started this blog in 07 we had just started our little family. Michael, Moira and I were ready to conquer the world ( or at least Sparkleberry ln ). I then, in true first time mommy fashion, promptly forgot all about it. My world had turned into a blur of sleep deprivation, Tuesday afternoon breastfeeding support group meetings, and delighting in every moment with our new little girl.
2009 bought an increase in the amount of sleep ( for a short while at least) and a gentle reminder that friends and family that are far away would love updates. It also, more importantly, changed our family of 3 to a family of 4. Connnor made his debut that year on Halloween and again we delighted in our new baby and life got a little crazy. Shortly after Connors arrival we got our official orders to Kings Bay, Georgia. Michael left SC in January 2010 and the kids and made the big move in April. Between saying goodbye to dear friends, packing up the house, and unpacking the new house I once again forgot about my little blog.
See a pattern here? Start blog, have kid, forget about blog, remember blog when another baby arrives, forget blog again......... So without further ado....
Miss Shelby Ann Smith has decided that this is a pretty cool little family and on Dec 30th 2010 joined our clan @ 10:09 pm weighing in at 8lbs 5ozsand 19 1/2 inches long. She is an angel and such a welcome addition.
A week after she was born Mike finally left on his first patrol and I'm doing this on my own for now. I may not update daily but I promise to try and post at least once a week. Thank you Catherine for inspiring me to once again pick up blogging. I sure hope I can remember it this time! lol
